Air Force One Detailing Team (cont'd)

Air Force One Detailing Team (cont'd)
We use water smart detailing methods when we are volunteering at the Museum of Flight to detail Air Force One and other National Treasures.

Our water smart car wash techniques involve using sprays containing eco-friendly cleaning agents for removing dirt, dust, and road grime. The biggest advantage of the water smart cleaning and protection methods is that it helps save a considerable amount of water.

Research shows that a single household consumes 80-140 gallons of water per car wash. Pristine Detailing, LLC utilizes less than one gallon of water when we detail a car, which helps preserve one of our most precious natural resources - WATER.  Click here to learn more.

What is a clear coat, what are the benefits?

What is a clear coat, what are the benefits?
Opti-Coat is a hard wearing, ceramic clear coat for superior resistance to scratching (9H) and protection from chemical etching due to environmental impacts.

The Opti-Coat pre-polymer cross links, and forms a continuous protective film on the painted surface it is applied to, similar to a single component isocyanate that forms a clear coat finish.

With a clear coat your vehicle has enhanced resistance to chemicals and scratches. Plus,  it protects the properties of your paint coating. It provides permanent protection for all modern factory paints and can also be used to protect metal and hard plastic surfaces.

Car odors worse in summer - get rid of 'em

Car odors worse in summer - get rid of 'em
Trying to identify car smells can sometimes be baffling, but one thing is for sure, there is an answer. One of the most common smells people complain about in vehicles is a musty or stale smell. The best air fresheners will not remove the smell because the source is still there. The common cause of this car odor is the air conditioner; the air conditioner removes moisture from the cabin air and drains it at the bottom of the evaporator.

At Pristine Detailing we use advanced technology to remove vehicle odors, by eliminating bacteria that builds up in various locations of your vehicle. Our scientific process produces long term odor control, which is not available from "off the shelf" products at your local store or from an internet site. This science backed technique is optimized for buildings, all types of vehicles, and closed environments.

Detailing Air Force One

See more videos click here. The first presidential jet plane, a specially built Boeing 707-120, is known as SAM (Special Air Missions) 970. This aircraft, as well as any other Air Force aircraft, carried the call sign "Air Force One" when the president was aboard. Delivered in 1959 to replace Eisenhower's Super-Constellation, the high-speed jet transport is a flying Oval Office with a modified interior and sophisticated communication equipment.

Jet technology gave a president the opportunity to meet face-to-face with world leaders easily. SAM 970 has carried presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon as well as VIPs such as Nikita Khrushchev and Henry Kissinger.

By 1962, SAM 970 was replaced by a newer Boeing VC-137C. But SAM 970 remained in the presidential fleet ferrying VIPs and the Vice-President until June of 1996.

This aircraft is on loan from the National Museum of the United States Air Force.

Click here for more pictures. The B-29 Superfortress is a four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber designed by Boeing that was flown primarily by the United States toward the end of World War II and during the Korean War. It was one of the largest aircraft to have seen service during World War II and a very advanced bomber for its time, with features such as a pressurized cabin, an electronic fire-control system, and remote-controlled machine-gun turrets. The name "Superfortress" was derived from that of its well-known predecessor, the B-17 Flying Fortress. Although designed as a high-altitude strategic bomber, and initially used in this role against the Empire of Japan, these attacks proved to be disappointing; as a result the B-29 became the primary aircraft used in the American firebombing campaign, and was used extensively in low-altitude night-

time incendiary bombing missions. One of the B-29's final roles during World War II was carrying out the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
