Protect Your Vehicle: what is a ceramic clear coat?

Clear Coat vs Bra

We have had clients ask us to remove clear bras because after a while they get swirls, imperfections and scratches.  

With Opti-Coat you are improving your some scratch resistance properties on your ENTIRE car. 

Opti-Coat (Opti-Guard) is a hard wearing, aftermarket, ceramic clear coat for superior resistance to scratching (9H) and chemical etching from environmental impacts. It provides permanent protection for all factory paints, and can also be applied to exterior glass, metal and hard plastic surfaces. 

Opti-Coat is not a wax or sealant like other products on the market. It is a ceramic clear coating very similar to factory type clear coats. A layer of Opti-Coat measures approx. 2 microns in thickness, or about 100 times thicker than your typical wax or sealant. Unlike paint protection sealants such as PTFE, Nano Sealants, GlassPlexin that degrade over time and are easily removed through washing with water or chemicals, Opti-Coat does not degrade and cannot be removed by chemicals such as heavy duty truck wash or even caustic degreasers. It is totally resistant to these chemicals and produces a permanent film that is chemically bonded with the factory paint layers. Opti-Coat is effectively the vehicles new outer clear coat. It is far more resistant to chemical etching than factory clear coats and far more resistant than competing paint protection sealants. The 2 micron layer also provides a thick buffer between any damage and the factory paintwork.

Our auto detailing services are not just a wash and wax of your car or truck. We take off the dirt that you can see and add a luster too. More importantly, we can influence the finish of your car by removing imperfections.

What are these imperfections?

Most commonly, they are surface issues with your paint. We have seen, even on brand new cars, that the finish feels rough. You can check this out yourself by running your palm along the surface of your car to different areas - the hood, the door, a fender. Do they feel the same? Exterior detailing involves cleaning and bringing back the shine and gloss to the car's paintwork, chrome trim, windows, wheels, and tires as well as all other visible components on the exterior of a vehicle.  The main components of exterior car detailing are preparation, the right polishes, and protecting. We use very little water when we do your vehicle. Our goal is using products that provide last protection to the finish of your car.

We detail national treasures

We detailed this B-29 bomber for free- It is our service to the community plus it is a lot of fun. 

The B-29 Superfortress is a four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber designed by Boeing that was flown primarily by the United States toward the end of World War II and during the Korean War. It was one of the largest aircraft to see service during World War II and a very advanced bomber for its time, with features such as a pressurized cabin, an electronic fire-control system, and remote-controlled machine-gun turrets. The

name "Superfortress" was derived from that of its well-known predecessor, the B-17 Flying Fortress. Although designed as a high-altitude strategic bomber, and initially used in this role against the Empire of Japan, these attacks proved to be disappointing; as a result the B-29 became the primary aircraft used in the Americanfirebombing campaign, and was used extensively in low-altitude night-time incendiary bombing missions. One of the B-29's final roles during World War II was carrying out the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
